Molecular analysis of genes related to androgens, their metabolism, and the regulation of inflammatory processes may be essential for the research on the causes of benign prostatic hyperplasia. The knowledge of the gene polymorphisms involved in the etiology of prostatic hyperplasia may be useful in screening for the risk of disease, and help understand complex interactions associated with its genesis and progression. The literature of the subject does not provide explicit data on important genetic markers of benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, numerous scientific publications suggest a marginal relationship between polymorphisms and the risk and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Therefore, it is so essential to find molecular markers related to prostatic hyperplasia in big populations.
